I absolutely loved Kennedy’s Dance Lesson! What stood out most was how interactive the book is. The reflection prompts help children identify how Kennedy is feeling and connect those emotions to their own experiences, creating space for emotional awareness, coping techniques, and self-expression. The imagery is superb and beautifully illustrated, and the authentic Black and Brown representation makes the story feel relatable and so meaningful for children who deserve to see themselves in the books they read. This book is not only adorable but powerful, intentional, and well-executed. I highly recommend it.
